All our video cameras are compact and easy to carry taking excellent footage that you will LOVE. We also have amazing online tutorials to show friends and family on how to film your day creatively. Do I get editing in my package?
Yes you do! Every package comes with and edited highlight and main formalities such as ceremony and speeches. You also have all the rights of the footage captured on the cameras so you can either edit yourself or through a 3rd party, if you so choose.
Do I need to sign for my WedFIY package?
We know that during the lead up to your wedding can be stressful, so there is no need to sign for your WedFIY package, but if there is someone on hand to receive it that would be helpful. We do track all our packages to arrive on time before your special day.
Does the camcorder come with a top light?
Yes they do! Even though the Sony Camcorder has the capacity to film in low light, we have added a top light to your package to able to capture those fantastic dance moves at night.
Does the camcorder have zoom?
Our Sony Camcorders have optical zooms giving high quality footage for closers shots. But with wide angle lens you will also be able to capture everything in the one shot.
Do WedFIY camcorders record sound?
All WedFIY Camcorders have an in-built microphone, but we do provide a shotgun microphone which can improve the sound from your footage. If you would like to record vows or speeches closely you can hire a separate lapel mic with recorder.
Does WedFIY own all my footage and files?
No, all footage and files that are recorded are yours. All the RAW footage and 3-5 minute highlight are placed onto a USB. Some couples also like to get extra edits for their anniversary which can be done in-house at an extra cost.
How long is the rental period?
All Camcorders and Instax Cameras will be delivered by Wednesday on the week of your wedding and we ask you to send them via your pre-paid postage on the Tuesday after your wedding day. If you would like to keep you camera for extra days this can be arrange via email or by giving us a call on 1300 560 577.
How long do the camera batteries last?
Our Sony Camcorder batteries will record between 2-3 hours of footage and will come with extra batteries depending on the hours needed to film your day. Our Instax Cameras come with one set of six AA rechargeable batteries (to be returned with camera). Instax cameras take about 100 photos for each new set of batteries.
My event is overseas. Can I still use WedFIY cameras?
Absolutely! That’s the great thing about WedFIY just choose the right package for you day and we will include extra equipment and batteries to capture the day perfectly. Contact us for more info and how to organise your package for any destination wedding.
Is WedFIY available for any event besides from weddings?
Yes we are? Our model is for any sort of memories and events to be captured on video. So if you have a 21st birthday/conference or anything filmed, Contact Us for any suggestions on 1300 560 557.
What happens if I lose or break any cameras?
All our cameras are covered by fair, wear and tear but, by signing our terms and conditions, you agree for the replacement if the cameras are lost or damaged. However, please be extra careful with the cameras, as if they are broken, we cannot usually recover any footage. If a replacement fee is to be assessed, it will depend on the market value of the cameras.
What is your cancellation policy?
If you need to cancel this can be done up to 60 days before your event for a partial refund. All packages have a $50 non-refundable fee. After 60 days, we cannot issue a refund. If you need to change the date of your event, please contact us beforehand to arrange the new date.
